About Jaenke Heating
Jaenke Heating & Air Conditioning was started in 1969 by Dennis and Flo Jaenke. Dennis had worked as an auto mechanic by day and worked on air conditioners and furnaces in the evenings. He learned the trade from his father, who worked at a sheet metal shop. After much discussion, Dennis quit his day job and started his own HVAC business. They purchased a vacant building and converted it into the shop they still use today (located at 423 S. Library Street in Waterloo, IL). They had three daughters, Lisa, Tricia, and Sara, all of whom are very proud of what their parents were able to accomplish.
In 2006, Dennis passed away, and his son-in-law, Darren (Sara’s husband), stepped up to help run the business with Flo. In 2023 Flo unexpectedly passed away, and her daughter, Sara, has taken over her duties. Together, she and her husband, Darren, are striving to fill the very large shoes of her parents, who prided themselves on providing exceptional customer service to Monroe County and the surrounding areas.
Sara manages the business as a whole and is likely the person you will talk to when you call for any HVAC needs. Darren does all the bidding and estimating for new jobs, performs service calls, and helps install new equipment. Pat has been with the company for over 23 years and does all the new installations. A graduate of Ranken Technical College, he is an expert tinsmith and makes the ductwork for new construction and replacement jobs. Blake is the newest hire, a recent graduate of Ranken Technical College. He assists with service calls and new installations and is proving to be a real asset to our team. In addition, Mike, our retired serviceman, comes in part-time to assist with new installations, and we are overjoyed to still have him as part of our team. Our team will do whatever it takes to get the job done correctly. They attend regular seminars to keep themselves in tune with the latest HVAC technology and products and pride themselves on doing the best possible job for our customers.
